Samantha focuses on family law matters, including divorce, dissolution, child custody, and support matters. Samantha also assists with prenuptial agreements. Samantha is also a certified mediator in family law matters and seeks opportunities to help others resolve their matters outside of litigation.

 

Samantha is a former U.S. Army Active Duty, combat veteran. Samantha deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). While in the military, she provided legal assistance to serving Soldiers, Family Members and Retirees who had legal issues that included divorce and support obligations. Samantha was hand-selected to serve as the Chief of Administrative Law where she reviewed internal investigations related to Army operations while deployed to Afghanistan. She also worked as a military prosecutor. 

 

When she returned to the States, she worked in Washington D.C. for the Judge Advocate General Corps Recruiting Office and Trial Defense Services.

 

Prior to establishing Wicktora & Miller with Brien, Samantha worked at Rittgers & Rittgers handling family law matters. She also served as the lead prosecutor for the City of Hamilton Municipal Court.

 

Samantha grew up in Greenhills, Ohio and has extended family in Butler and Warren County. She has two amazing boys and a mischievous, but lovable goldendoodle. Samantha brings focus, determination, and calm under pressure during family law matters.

Brien fights for his clients. He does this in court, the classroom, the boardroom, or wherever it is necessary to protect you. He brings thirty years' worth of public speaking experience to the fight. 

 

Brien earned his Bachelor's degree in History at the University of Cincinnati in 1992. Upon the completion of undergraduate studies, he obtained his Master’s degree in Education at Xavier University. For more than 20 years, Brien taught Social Studies and coached year-round for school teams and in the community. Additionally, he served as an associate head coach and trainer for the Cincinnati Mavericks, a nationally ranked competitive baseball team. 

 

Brien attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law after deciding to retire from his career as an educator. While there, he completed a year-long internship with the Hamilton County Office of the Public Defender. He also won UC's coveted Federal Bar Association John W. Peck Trial Practice Award. After graduating from law school, Brien passed the bar examinations for both Ohio and Kentucky within his first year. He is also admitted in the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio. 

 

Brien’s approach to each case is client-centered, tailored to fit your individual needs, and best protect your interests. In his own words, “Nothing is more important to me than freedom. I retired after 20 years from a successful teaching career to follow my dream of being a trial attorney. I like to fight. And win. When I agree to take your case, your fight becomes our fight."
